And labeled a certain grading by his supplying. Which is a grading that we can apply and offer within this current pricing range.
With more than a year’s joint development, we’ve achieved success in below aspects. A powerful lume substance fully customized and created domestically in China. A creative way to have the substance injection molded into block-like objects. A formula that still holds a solid body of such glowing blocks afterwards. And finally, a glue-free method that attach them to the dial that has way better shock resistant.
During the development, many obstacles needed to be tackled one by one. Either it be difficult or costly. Say, the 1 of 1 built-from-scratch injection molding machine. Expensive individual molds for differently shaped indices. Time in the making to even build these molds, for which it must be in a very precise measurement. Other than that, laser cutting machines as well to refine the blocks’ details. Removing burrs and imperfections. In another words, this is a closed-loop production fully dominated by our teams. Throughout design, manufacturing, testing and assembly.
By early 2025, we are confident that this lume block technology is ready to be tested in the market. Hence, crowned the grading as Grade S. And over the course of 18 months of so testing. It truly did not fail us. We’ve received many positive feedback. On such overwhelming brightness and long-lasting glow. Which is why we are taking one step further now. Will soon present to you, the Grade X HyperGlow.
Grade X will feature even brighter glow, faster charging and longer peak stay. Besides classic white, for heavily tinted colors there will be even less deteriorated brightness. For example, bright orange, emerald green, vintage fauxtina and navy blue.
Other than regular performance upgrades, we will also experiment indices in the combination of both metal and lume block. For aesthetics leaning more back to the traditional days of watch making. Blocks will look disappeared but they never left. And in order to achieve that, we have imported different machines to further reducing burrs and imperfections. Making the combination fit like a glove.

However, regarding lume blocks creation, we will say they were made very differently. Than one would carve from the bars or plates, as Skur themselves would sell and supply in its original form. It is a much more complicated process if it were to be ours.
